Evelyn and the Cloud Fairies

Evelyn and the Cloud Fairies

In a world hidden by rainbows, something magical was about to happen!

Evelyn was playing with her toys in her room in San Diego. She loved her toy fish! Dad was looking at his bird book. "Look Evelyn! This bird makes its nest in the clouds!" Evelyn giggled. "Clouds are fluffy! Birds can't live there!" Dad laughed. "That's what makes this bird so special, Evelyn!"

Suddenly, a bright light filled the room. It shimmered and sparkled. Evelyn and Dad covered their eyes. When they opened them, they gasped. Before them stood a tiny, glowing figure with delicate butterfly wings. It was a fairy! "Hello!" the fairy said in a tinkly voice. "I'm Lily. We need your help in Cloudland!"

Evelyn and Dad were amazed. They had never met a fairy before! Lily explained that the clouds were a mess! Nothing was where it should be. "We fairies love to keep things organized," Lily said, "but we need your help!" Dad, who loved to keep his bird books neat and tidy, knew just what to do. "Evelyn loves to organize her toys! She can help!" Evelyn nodded excitedly. "I can teach the fairies how I organize my fish toys!"

Lily sprinkled them with sparkly dust. In a blink, they were floating on a fluffy white cloud! Cloudland was beautiful! The sky was pink and purple, and soft clouds floated everywhere. But it was messy! Clouds of all shapes and sizes were jumbled up. There were rainbows in the wrong places and stars scattered everywhere.

Evelyn saw a group of fairies struggling to put fluffy clouds into neat rows. "Let's make a game!" Evelyn said, her eyes sparkling. She showed the fairies how she sorts her fish toys by color. Soon, the fairies were giggling, putting pink clouds with pink clouds and blue clouds with blue clouds. Dad, with his love for organization, started sorting the rainbows by size, making a beautiful rainbow archway.

Evelyn and the fairies worked together, organizing Cloudland. They put the stars back in the night sky, arranged the clouds in beautiful patterns, and even made a special cloud slide for the fairies to play on! By the time the moon started to peek out, Cloudland was sparkling and organized.

Lily hugged Evelyn. "Thank you, Evelyn! You saved Cloudland! We love being organized!" Evelyn hugged Lily back. "It was so much fun! Can we visit again soon?" Lily laughed. "Of course! Cloudland will always be here, neat and tidy, thanks to you!" With a sprinkle of fairy dust, Evelyn and Dad were back in their room. The light outside was fading. It was time for bed.

Evelyn tucked her fish toys neatly in their basket. She knew, even though it was a secret, that she would visit Cloudland again soon! And maybe, just maybe, she would teach those fairies how to organize a whole ocean of fish!
