Little Red Riding Hood with Matthew

Little Red Riding Hood with Matthew

Once upon a time, there was a child named Matthew who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains. The house was small, but it was full of love! Matthew’s mother was the best cook in the world. Their house was always warm and cozy, and Matthew loved playing with their toys in their little room.

Matthew loved to play with cars. They had a whole room full of cars, trucks, and race cars. More than anything, Matthew loved their grandmother! Matthew’s grandmother lived in the next valley and had sewn a red hood to keep Matthew warm. It looked amazing on Matthew! Everyone called them Little Red Riding Hood! It looked so nice on Matthew, especially with their black eyes and brown hair.

One day, Matthew’s mother asked them to go to their grandmother’s house. “Grandma is feeling a little sick, and she needs you to help her,” said Matthew’s mother. “It’s the safer way, even though it’s a little longer.” Matthew’s mother explained that the path through the forest was very dangerous. Matthew’s mother knew how Energetic Matthew was! She knew how much they loved to run around, and she didn’t want them to get hurt.

Matthew’s mother packed a basket full of delicious food. “Nothing helps a sickness better than a meal made with love!” she said. Matthew, or rather, Little Red Riding Hood, put on their red hood and took the basket. “I promise to come back tomorrow!” said Matthew. Matthew wanted to eat the delicious food, but they knew it was for their grandmother. They were very Energetic! But they were also very kind.

As soon as Little Red Riding Hood left home, they met a wolf! The wolf was evil, but he pretended to be kind. “Where are you going, Little Red Riding Hood?” he asked. “I’m taking food to my grandmother,” Matthew said. “Goodbye!” said the wolf, and he went on his way. Little Red Riding Hood went on their way too.

Matthew took the longer but safer path. They didn’t know that the wolf had taken the forest path. He wanted to get to Matthew’s grandmother’s house before Little Red Riding Hood. The wolf was sneaky. And he did it!

The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house and ate the old lady in one bite! When Little Red Riding Hood arrived at their grandmother’s house, the wolf, dressed in their grandmother’s clothes, pretended to be her. “Come in, Little Red Riding Hood,” said the wolf.

Matthew found their grandmother’s appearance strange. “Grandma, why are your eyes so big?” Matthew asked. “It’s to see Little Red Riding Hood better,” said the wolf, pretending to be their grandmother. “Grandma, why is your nose so big?” Matthew asked. “It’s to smell you better!” said the wolf, pretending to be their grandmother. “Grandma, why is your mouth so big?” Matthew asked. The wolf couldn’t pretend any longer! He jumped on Matthew, and shouted, “It’s to taste you better!”

Just then, a wise old woodsman was walking through the forest. He had magical powers. The woodsman heard Matthew in trouble! Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, the old man entered the house and saved the child.

The woodsman enchanted the wolf! He made him tame and gentle and put him to sleep. Matthew told the woodsman that the wolf had eaten their grandmother. The woodsman smiled. “No evil can defeat goodness!” he said. With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!

Little Red Riding Hood hugged their grandmother. “Thank you for saving me!” Matthew said to the woodsman. “You saved my life!” They took off their red hood, which covered their straight hair, and thanked the woodsman. They offered him the delicious food their mother had made.

That night, Matthew, their grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food. It was the best food in the world.
