Little Red Riding Hood with Mia

Little Red Riding Hood with Mia

Once upon a time, there was a child named Mia who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains…

Mia and her mother lived in a snug little house nestled in the mountains. The house had a warm fireplace and a cozy kitchen. Mia loved to play in the snowy fields with her mom. They made snow angels, built snow forts, and had snowball fights. More than anything in the world, Mia loved to play Princesses. She would wear her favorite sparkly dress and pretend to be a brave and kind Queen. And she adored her grandmother! Mia’s grandmother had sewn a red hood to keep her warm, and everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood. The hood looked great on Mia, especially considering her blue eyes and blonde wavy hair.

One day, Mia’s mother asked her to go to her grandmother’s house in the next valley. Her grandmother was feeling a bit sick and needed care. “Mia, darling, could you please take the road to your grandmother’s house?” Mia’s mother asked. “It’s longer, but it’s safer. The forest path is a little dangerous, you know, with all your creative ideas.” Mia smiled and nodded. She loved the forest path, but she knew her mother was right.

Mia’s mother prepared a basket full of delicious food to help care for her grandmother. Nothing helps an illness better than a meal made with love! Mia, or rather, Little Red Riding Hood, left home with her hood and the basket of food, promising to return the next day! Mia resisted eating any of the food, though. She knew it was for her grandmother.

As soon as Little Red Riding Hood left the house, she met a wolf. The wolf, who was evil but pretended to be kind, asked, “Where are you going, little girl?” Mia told him, “I am taking food to my grandmother. She is sick.” The wolf said goodbye and went on his way, and so did Mia.

Mia took the longer but safer path. However, what Mia didn’t know was that the wolf had taken the forest path and planned to reach her grandmother’s house before her. And so he did!

The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house and ate the old lady in one bite! When Mia arrived at her grandmother’s house, the wolf, dressed in the grandmother’s clothes, pretended to be her to deceive Mia. “Hello, dear,” said the wolf, in a voice like a croaking frog.

“Grandma, why are your eyes so big?” Mia asked.

“That is to see you better, my dear,” the wolf said, trying to sound like a sweet old lady.

“Grandma, why is your nose so big?” Mia asked again, her voice filled with worry.

“That is to smell you better, my dear,” the wolf said, his voice starting to crack a little.

“Grandma, why is your mouth so big?” Mia asked. She was starting to get very scared.

The wolf couldn’t resist any longer. He pounced on Mia! “That is to taste you better!” he roared.

Just then, a wise old woodsman, who had magical powers, was walking through the forest. The old man heard Mia in trouble! Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, the old man entered the house and saved the child.

The magical woodsman enchanted the wolf, making him tame and gentle, and put him to sleep. “The wolf ate my grandmother!” Mia cried.

The woodsman smiled. “No evil can defeat goodness, my dear,” he said. With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!

Mia hugged her beloved grandmother! “Thank you, kind sir,” she said, wearing her red hood that covered her wavy hair. She offered him the delicious food her mother had prepared!

That night, Mia, her grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food made by Mia’s mother. They laughed and talked until the stars came out.
