Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. Pedro was Alexander’s best friend. They played together every day. They loved dinosaurs! They would pretend to be dinosaurs, roaring and stomping around the garden.
One day, Pedro met Alexander in the garden. He looked sad. “My dad died,” he said, his voice cracking. “He left his things to my brothers. My older brother got the windmill, my middle brother got the mule. And me? I only got a cat.”
Alexander was confused. “A cat? How will you survive with just a cat?” He asked, furrowing his brow.
“I don’t know,” Pedro sighed, but before he could say anything else, the cat jumped in front of them! “If you get me a pair of leather boots,” the cat said, his voice squeaky, “I will be very useful to you, Pedro!”
Alexander and Pedro looked at each other. They had a piggy bank full of coins! They had been saving up for a dinosaur toy, but they knew Pedro needed help. They bought the cat a pair of shiny brown boots!
“Want to come on an adventure with me?” the cat asked, grinning.
Pedro said, “I’ll stay here with my brothers, but you can go with Alexander.”
Alexander was excited. He loved adventures! He never turned down an opportunity to explore. He nodded. “Let’s go!”
They set off with the cat. The cat led them to the edge of the enchanted forest near Alexander’s house in Phoenix. It was like magic! The trees shimmered and sparkled, and the air smelled like sweet candy.
Alexander, with his amazing superpower, grew giant like a dinosaur! “Look, cat, I can be as tall as a tree!” he exclaimed.
The cat smiled. “I know, Alexander. I have a plan. You will understand soon.” He hopped up and caught two hens with his sharp claws, and they set off towards the enchanted castle in the forest.
They arrived at the castle and gave the hens to a servant. “These are a gift from a young man who just arrived in the kingdom.”
The servant was delighted. “Thank you!”
The cat and Alexander quickly left and headed back to Pedro.
When they met Pedro, the cat told him what he had done. “Now you have a chance, Pedro!” he said. Pedro looked at Alexander, confused. “What’s the plan?” he asked, but Alexander still couldn’t explain.
They played in the garden, and Pedro and Alexander decided to swim in the pond. Just as they jumped in, the cat ran up to them. “Stay here! It’s all part of the plan!” he said, and ran away.
The cat met a royal carriage and said, “Someone stole the clothes of my young master, Alexander!”
The king, who was inside the carriage, was very kind. “Get in the carriage, all of you! I will arrange new clothes for you!” he said.
“Thank you, sir,” said Alexander. He was always curious and grateful for any kindness shown to him.
The cat asked the king, “Would you be interested in seeing the lands of my young master Pedro?”
“Of course,” said the king.
The cat directed the carriage to a castle. Pedro didn’t know what was happening, but he and Alexander enjoyed the adventure.
The cat hopped out of the carriage first. “Show the king around your lands, Pedro,” he said.
Pedro and Alexander decided to play along while the cat carried out his plan.
The cat walked into the castle. Soon, a wicked ogre asked, “What’s a cat doing in my castle?”
“I admire your magical powers,” the cat said, looking up at the ogre with respect. “Can you turn into a lion?”
The ogre, proud of his magic, turned into a lion.
“And can you turn into a mouse?” the cat asked.
The ogre transformed into a mouse, wanting to show off his power.
The cat, now a lion, ate the mouse! The castle was now Pedro’s!
Pedro and Alexander were so happy! They could play in the castle, and Alexander could even use his superpower, Growing giant like a dinosaur!
The cat, who also had magical powers, turned back into a cat and went to meet the king, Pedro, and Alexander. He invited them all into the castle.
The king was amazed by the castle! “You are such humble children!” he said. “My daughter would be a good match for you, Pedro. You could have a beautiful family together.”
Pedro and Alexander were delighted! They couldn't wait to meet the princess, but they decided to tell the truth.
They told the king about the cat’s adventures.
The king was happy to meet children who were honest and had good values.
From that day on, Pedro, Alexander, the cat, and the princess played together in the enchanted forest garden. They loved dinosaurs!
This truly is a happily ever after!
