Puss in Boots with Ava

Puss in Boots with Ava

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. He was Ava's best friend. They played together all the time. They both loved dogs! They would spend hours in the garden, pretending to be dog trainers.

One day, Pedro met Ava in the garden. He looked sad. “My father died,” he said. “He left me a cat.”

Ava was surprised. “A cat?” she asked. “How are you going to survive with just a cat?”

Pedro was upset. He didn’t know what to do.

Just then, the cat jumped onto Pedro’s lap. “If you buy me a pair of leather boots,” the cat said, “I’ll be very useful!”

Ava and Pedro knew what to do! They ran to Pedro’s house and opened their piggy bank. They had saved many coins! They used all the money to buy the cat some boots.

The cat was excited! “Let’s go on an adventure!” he said.

Pedro looked at Ava. He wanted to stay with his brothers. But Ava loved adventures! She smiled and said, “Let’s go!”

The cat led Ava to the enchanted forest near Ava’s house in San Antonio. It was a magical place! The trees swayed in the wind, and the flowers shimmered in the sunlight. Ava could hear the birds singing and the squirrels chattering.

The cat jumped and landed on a tree branch. Ava gasped. “You’re a good hunter, aren’t you?” she said.

The cat purred. “I am,” he said. “I caught two hens for us.”

Ava was impressed. “You’re amazing!” she said.

As they walked through the forest, Ava used her superpower. She could read minds! She could hear the trees whispering and the flowers humming. She told the cat what she heard. The cat laughed. “You have a very special gift,” he said.

“Do you have a plan?” Ava asked.

“Yes, I do,” the cat said. “You’ll see.”

The cat and Ava arrived at a beautiful castle. It was surrounded by a sparkling moat and had tall towers reaching for the clouds. The cat gave the hens to one of the king’s servants. “They are a gift from a young man who just moved to the kingdom,” the cat said.

The king was pleased. “Thank you!” he said.

The cat and Ava set off to find Pedro. They met him in the garden.

“What did you do?” Pedro asked the cat.

The cat smiled. “We have a plan,” he said.

Pedro looked at Ava. “What’s the plan?” he asked.

Ava shook her head. “I don’t know yet,” she said.

Pedro and Ava played in the garden. Then they decided to go swimming in the pond.

Just then, the cat ran up to them. “Stay here!” he said. “It’s all part of the plan!”

A royal carriage pulled up. The king was inside. He was looking for someone who had stolen the clothes of his son.

The cat jumped in front of the carriage. “Someone has stolen the clothes of a young man, and Ava, his friend!” he said.

The king was kind. He invited the cat, Ava, and Pedro to ride in the carriage. “I’ll arrange for you to have new clothes,” the king said.

Ava was grateful. “Thank you,” she said.

The cat looked at the king. “Would you be interested in seeing the lands of this young man, Pedro?” he asked.

The king smiled. “Of course!” he said.

The cat told the driver to take them to the castle of a powerful ogre. Pedro was surprised. “What’s going on?” he asked Ava.

Ava shrugged. “I don’t know,” she said. “But it’s an adventure!”

When they arrived, the cat jumped out of the carriage first. “Pedro,” he said, “show the king around your lands!”

Pedro and Ava were confused, but they decided to play along. The cat entered the castle.

The ogre was angry. “What is a cat doing in my castle?” he roared.

The cat was clever. “I admire your magical powers,” he said. “Can you turn me into a lion?”

The ogre smiled. He loved showing off his powers. *Poof* the cat turned into a lion!

“Can you turn me into a mouse?” the cat asked.

The ogre, wanting to show off even more, turned into a mouse.

The cat, now a lion, roared and ate the mouse! The castle was now Pedro’s!

Pedro and Ava were excited! Now they had a castle where they could play all day. Ava could even use her superpower, Mind Reading, to talk to the walls and furniture!

The cat, who also had magical powers, turned back into a cat. He went to meet the king, Pedro, and Ava.

“Come on,” the cat said. “The castle is yours!”

The king was amazed. “This is an incredible castle!” he said. “Pedro, you and Ava are very humble.”

The king was so impressed by Pedro’s castle that he decided to introduce his daughter to Pedro. He thought they could be a wonderful couple.

Pedro and Ava were delighted. They were excited to meet the princess! But then they knew they had to tell the truth.

They told the king about the cat’s adventures. The king laughed. “You are honest and kind,” he said. “That is all I want for my daughter.”

From that day on, Pedro, Ava, the cat, and the princess played together in the enchanted forest garden. They loved dogs, and they loved spending time together.

This truly is a happily ever after!
