Evelyn loved the ocean! She had a giant picture of a whale on her wall and a bathtub full of toy fish. One day, Dad said, "Evelyn, let's go on an adventure! I found the most amazing beach." "Beach!" Evelyn shouted, clapping her hands.
Dad drove them to the beach, and it was even better than Evelyn imagined. The sand was soft and white, the water sparkled in the sun, and a gentle breeze rustled the palm trees. Evelyn giggled as Dad chased her, pretending to be a silly crab. "Let's build a sandcastle!" Dad said.
As they dug in the sand, Evelyn found something incredible - a big, pink seashell that shimmered like a rainbow. "Wow!" Evelyn cried, holding it up. As she touched it, the seashell started to glow! Suddenly, a friendly voice spoke from the shell. "Hello! I'm Shelly the Seashell. Thank you for waking me up!"
Evelyn and Dad were amazed! A talking seashell! "Shelly, can you grant us a wish?" Dad asked, his eyes wide with wonder. Shelly giggled. "Of course! But the best wishes are about friendship." Evelyn knew exactly what to wish for. "I wish for a new friend who loves the ocean as much as I do!"
The seashell glowed brightly, and a fluffy, white cat appeared! It had sparkling blue eyes and a tiny seashell necklace. The cat purred and rubbed against Evelyn's leg. "Hello," the cat meowed. "My name is Coral. It's so nice to meet you!"
Evelyn was so happy! Coral loved to splash in the waves and help build sandcastles. Evelyn told Coral all about her favorite sea creatures, and Coral purred happily. Dad smiled. "It looks like you two are already the best of friends," he said.
