This story begins a few years ago… Even before Emily was born…
The story begins with a big celebration! It was a party in the enchanted kingdom, the one that Emily knew how to reach through the path of dreams and imagination. But anyway, this story is about a different time.
This big celebration was for Princess Aurora! She was the daughter of the king and queen of the kingdom. They had tried for a long time to have a baby, and finally, Princess Aurora was here!
Many fairies came to the party. They gave the princess special gifts. One gave her intelligence, one gave her kindness, and one gave her humility. But one of the fairies was not very nice. She gave Princess Aurora a curse! The princess would prick her finger on a spindle when she grew up and die.
Everyone in the kingdom was sad! They couldn't take back the gifts the fairies gave. But then, a funny little fairy came late. She fixed the curse! The princess would still prick her finger, but she wouldn't die. Instead, she would fall into a deep sleep. She would sleep forever until someone gave her a kiss!
Time went by, and the kingdom changed. There were no spindles anymore! Everyone learned to sew with sticks and thread. They had to protect the princess!
When the princess was a teenager, she found a spindle. She had never seen one before, and it looked much easier to sew with than a stick. She used it, and the curse happened! The princess pricked her finger, and she and the whole kingdom fell asleep for a very long time…
This is where Emily's story begins! One day, Emily was playing in her secret garden. She had a special power: she could make flowers bloom instantly! She was making pretty flowers grow when she saw a boy sitting on a bench.
"Hi," Emily said to the boy. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm looking for the enchanted kingdom," the boy said. "I heard a story about a sleeping princess. I want to wake her up!"
Emily loved adventures, especially in enchanted kingdoms! "I can help you!" she said.
The boy was a prince from another kingdom. He invited Emily on an adventure to wake up Princess Aurora! Emily loved helping people, so she said yes! The prince had a plan to get to the castle. They would fly on a magical bird!
Emily was so excited! She had never flown on a magical bird before. She held onto the prince's hand as they flew through the air.
When they arrived at the castle, it was covered in leaves! A huge forest had grown around it over the years.
"We have to reach the tower," the prince said. "That's where the princess is sleeping."
Emily looked at the forest and smiled. "We can use my superpower!" she said. "We can make a path through the forest with flowers!"
The prince smiled too. "That's a great idea!"
They began their journey. The forest was dangerous. The trees moved to block their path. There were giant spiders that tried to catch them. But Emily was brave! She used her superpower to make flowers grow. The flowers had sharp thorns on them. They protected the prince and Emily from the dangers of the forest.
Finally, they reached the tower. The prince ran inside. He found Princess Aurora sleeping in a bed of flowers. Emily watched, cheering for her friend. The prince kissed the princess, and she woke up!
Slowly, the forest around the castle began to disappear. Everything became bright and beautiful again!
The princess was very happy to see the prince! She also loved flowers, just like Emily! She invited Emily to come and play in the castle whenever she wanted. Emily was so happy. She promised the princess that she would come back to play whenever her imagination took her to the enchanted kingdom.
And on that day, Emily knew they would live happily ever after!
