This story begins a few years ago… Even before Mia was born…
There was a huge celebration in the enchanted kingdom, the one that Mia knew how to reach through the path of dreams and imagination! The king and queen had tried for many years to have a baby, and they finally did! They were having a party for Princess Aurora, their new baby girl. All the fairies in the land came to the party. Each one gave Princess Aurora a special gift. One fairy gave her intelligence. Another gave her kindness. And a different one gave her humility!
But one of the fairies was not so nice. She gave Princess Aurora a curse! The princess would prick her finger on a spindle when she became an adult and die.
Everyone in the kingdom was sad, but they couldn’t take back the gifts the fairies gave. Then, a very funny little fairy came to the party late! She laughed and laughed, and then she waved her wand. The little fairy fixed the curse! She said the princess would still prick her finger, but she would not die. Instead, she would fall into a deep sleep, and she wouldn’t wake up until a prince kissed her!
Many years passed, and there were no spindles in the kingdom. Everyone learned to sew with sticks and threads. The princess needed to be protected!
But one day, when Princess Aurora was a teenager, she found a spindle. She had never seen one before! She thought, "This will be much easier than sewing with a stick." She picked it up and, *bam*, she pricked her finger. She fell into a deep sleep! The whole kingdom fell asleep with her!
That’s when Mia entered the story! One day, Mia was playing with ice and snow in her secret ice castle, making a snow princess for herself, when a young man with big, kind eyes ran right into her! He was so surprised, he dropped the book he was reading.
"Woah! You scared me!" the young man said.
“I’m Mia!” she told him, looking at the book he was reading. It was a big book about princesses. “I like to play princess!”
The young man told Mia the story of Princess Aurora, and how she was trapped in a deep sleep, along with her whole kingdom.
“I’m Prince Oliver!” he told Mia. “And I need your help! I’m going to rescue Princess Aurora, and I need a brave friend to help me. Will you come with me?”
Mia loved adventures. She loved princesses even more! She said, "YES! I'm coming!”
Prince Oliver led Mia through the paths of their imagination, and they arrived at the enchanted kingdom. The castle was covered in leaves, and big trees had grown all around it!
"Wow!" said Mia. "This is even more magical than I imagined! How are we going to get to the castle?"
"We need to make a plan!" said Prince Oliver. "I think we can climb through the trees!"
Mia liked this idea. She could make an ice bridge, and they could walk across it! "That's a great idea!" She said, and she waved her hand. She made a huge, strong ice bridge.
"We can do this!" said Prince Oliver, and they started walking toward the castle!
As they walked, they faced many challenges! The flowers sprouted thorns and tried to prick them! The tree trunks moved and blocked their path! And there were monstrous creatures that wanted to eat them! But Mia used her magical powers to freeze the thorns, she froze the tree trunks, and she made snowmen to fight the monsters!
Finally, they reached the castle. Prince Oliver went straight to the tower where Princess Aurora was sleeping. He looked at her, and he kissed her on the lips!
Then something amazing happened! Princess Aurora woke up! And the whole kingdom woke up with her! The trees and leaves disappeared! Everything was bright and beautiful again.
Princess Aurora was so happy to see Prince Oliver and Mia. She said, "Thank you, Prince Oliver, for rescuing me! And thank you, Mia, for your help!"
"You’re welcome!" said Prince Oliver. "I’m so glad you’re awake again!"
Princess Aurora loved princesses, and she was happy to meet Mia. "You can come play with me in the castle whenever you want!" she said.
Mia smiled. "I would love to!" she said. "I’ll come whenever my imagination takes me to your kingdom!"
And on that day, Mia knew she would live happily ever after!
