Sophia loved to jump! Up and down on her bed, boing, boing, boing! Today, she pretended her bed was a giant trampoline, launching her all the way to the moon! Sophia, her fluffy dog, barked happily from the floor. He wanted to bounce to the moon too!
Suddenly, the room shimmered. Sophia giggled, "Are we going to the moon, Sophia?"
To her surprise, the shimmer grew into a sparkly doorway! A friendly voice called, "Come on in! We need your help!"
Sophia grabbed Sophia's paw, and together they leaped into the unknown! The sparkly doorway led them to a magical place. The ground was silver and bumpy, and Earth hung in the sky like a giant blue marble!
"We're on the moon!" Sophia gasped. Everything felt light and bouncy, like being on a trampoline forever! Sophia barked with joy and chased his tail in the air.
A beautiful woman with long, blue hair and a shimmering tail swam towards them. "Welcome to the Moon, Sophia! I'm Coralia, a mermaid princess. We need your help! Our home, the Moon Lagoon, is full of trash, and it's making everyone sad."
Sophia frowned. Back in Chicago, her mom always said it's important to respect our world. "Respect means keeping things clean and being kind," she declared. "We'll help you clean the Moon Lagoon!"
Coralia smiled, her scales gleaming. "Thank you, Sophia! But be careful, the Moon Pixies are grumpy because of the mess. We need to be respectful to them too, even if they're grumpy."
Sophia and Sophia followed Coralia to the Moon Lagoon. It was a sparkly lake filled with floating moon rocks, but also candy wrappers, juice boxes, and even a shoe! Yuck! A group of tiny creatures with shimmering wings buzzed around, frowning.
"Excuse me," Sophia said politely to a nearby Moon Pixie. "We're here to help clean the lagoon. Could you please tell us where to put the trash?"
The Moon Pixie was surprised by Sophia's kindness. "You're going to help clean?" he squeaked. "Well, throw the trash in that volcano over there. It burns everything to stardust!"
Sophia and Sophia got to work! Sophia picked up trash with her super-strength, and Sophia collected smaller pieces with his mouth. They even found a lost rubber ducky for the Moon Pixies to play with!
As the lagoon got cleaner, the Moon Pixies started smiling. They even sang a beautiful song about the moon and the stars. Sophia and Sophia threw the last juice box into the volcano, and it vanished in a puff of sparkly dust.
"Thank you, Sophia!" Coralia hugged her. "You saved the Moon Lagoon and brought back the Moon Pixies' smiles. You are a true friend of the moon!"
The Moon Pixies showered Sophia and Sophia with moonbeams, making their fur sparkle. Then, a shimmery doorway appeared beside them. It was time to go home.
Back in her room, Sophia hugged Sophia tight. "We learned that respect is super important, even on the moon!" she exclaimed. Sophia barked and licked her cheek, happy to be home after their sparkly moon adventure.
