William and the Cloud Creatures Who Love to Read!

William and the Cloud Creatures Who Love to Read!

"Dad, how come we know so many words?" William asked, his big brown eyes full of wonder. Dad smiled, "That's a great question, William! How about we go on an adventure to find the answer?"

Dad picked William up and swung him onto his shoulders. "Hold on tight!" he chuckled. They walked out of their cozy Seattle home and right into a giant, fluffy cloud! The cloud felt like cotton candy and smelled like Dad's blueberry pancakes.

As they climbed higher, the cloud turned a beautiful shade of pink and then sparkly lilac. Soon, they landed on a cloud so big it looked like an island!

On the cloud island, strange and wonderful creatures were everywhere! One had fur like a rainbow and talked in rhymes. Another looked like a giant, fluffy bumblebee but had ten eyes!

"Welcome to the Land of Words, Earth friends!" buzzed the bumblebee creature. "I'm Bumble, and this is Sparkles." The rainbow creature giggled and waved.

"Wow!" William gasped, "Are you...Extraterrestrial Beings?"

Bumble chuckled, "We prefer 'Word Keepers.' You see, we love words! We collect them from all over the universe."

Sparkles bounced on his fluffy tail. "When people on Earth read, they send their words up here, and we keep them safe!"

William remembered all the books he read with Dad before bedtime. He loved stories about birds and friendly monsters!

"Every time you read," explained Bumble, "your words become like magic! They travel up to us, and we use them to make the Land of Words even more amazing!"

William looked around. The cloud island was covered in gardens made of swirling letters, and rivers flowed with sparkling words. He saw the words from his favorite book about a bird who made friends with a monster.

“That’s so cool!” William shouted.

Dad smiled. "Reading is like sharing a secret with the whole universe."

William spent the rest of the day playing games with the Word Keepers. They tossed word bubbles that burst with laughter and wrote stories in the sky with their fingers.

When it was time to go, Bumble and Sparkles gave William a magical feather. "Blow on this whenever you read," whispered Sparkles, "and it will send your words straight to us!"

Back in their Seattle home, William snuggled up with Dad. He blew on the feather and started to read his monster book out loud. He imagined his words turning into shooting stars, flying up to the Land of Words, where Bumble and Sparkles were waiting to hear his stories.

From that day on, William knew that reading wasn't just about learning new words; it was about sharing his imagination with the whole universe! And that made him the happiest little boy in all of Seattle.
