Emma and the Talking Unicorn Book

Emma and the Talking Unicorn Book

Guess what I learned today? Unicorns LOVE to read! I know, right? It all started when Lily, my puppy, found a sparkly book under my bed. It was glowing! "Woof! What's this?" Lily barked, her tail wagging so fast it looked like a furry blur.

"I don't know," I said, carefully picking up the book. It felt warm, like sunshine. When I opened it, the pages were empty! "That's silly," I giggled.

Suddenly, the pages started to swirl with pink and purple clouds. "Whoa!" Lily barked, backing up. Then, *poof*, we were surrounded by fluffy clouds!

"We're in the sky!" I shouted, giggling. The clouds felt like cotton candy under my feet. I could see our house way down below, looking like a tiny toy.

"Welcome, welcome!" a friendly voice boomed. A smiling lady with a pointy hat and a bright purple dress floated towards us. "I'm Wanda the Witch!"

"A witch?" I whispered to Lily.

Lily wagged her tail. "She seems nice!" she barked.

"Thank you, Lily," Wanda the Witch chuckled. "You see, this book is magical! It brought you to my cloud library."

Everywhere I looked, there were stacks of books! Big books, small books, books with pictures of dragons and fairies and even a book that smelled like cookies! "Wow," I breathed. "Do unicorns really like to read?"

Wanda the Witch laughed. "Oh, yes! Unicorns love stories! Reading helps them learn about all the magical things in the world, just like it helps you."

"It does?" I asked.

"Of course!" Wanda the Witch said. "When you read, you learn new words and use your imagination. It's like magic!"

I looked around at all the amazing books. Maybe Wanda the Witch was right.

Lily barked excitedly and nudged a book with her nose. It had a picture of a unicorn with a rainbow mane. I opened it up and started to read. The words told the story of a brave princess and her unicorn friend who went on an adventure to find a magical flower.

I read the whole story out loud, and Lily sat beside me, her tongue lolling out in a happy grin. It was the best story ever!

When I finished, I felt like I could fly! "I want to read more!" I declared.

Wanda the Witch smiled. "There are always more stories to discover," she said, handing me another book. This one had a fuzzy brown cover and smelled like chocolate! "Whenever you want to visit my cloud library, just open the magic book."

I hugged the book tight. "Thank you, Wanda!"

With a wave of her hand, Wanda the Witch sent me and Lily back to my room. The sparkly book lay on the floor, and everything felt normal again. But I knew it wasn't a dream. I had a magic book that could take me to a library in the clouds! And guess what? Tomorrow, I'm going to read a book about a dragon who loves to bake!
