Little Red Riding Hood with Evelyn

Little Red Riding Hood with Evelyn

Once upon a time, there was a child named Evelyn who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains. It was a cozy little home with a big garden filled with bright flowers. Evelyn loved to play in the garden and help their mother plant seeds and water the plants.

Evelyn loved to draw. They would spend hours making pictures of flowers, butterflies, and even their fluffy, white cat, Snowball. But more than anything, Evelyn adored their grandmother! She had sewn a red hood to keep Evelyn warm, and because of this, everyone called them Little Red Riding Hood. The hood looked great on Evelyn, especially considering their brown eyes and red hair.

One day, Evelyn’s mother asked them to go to their grandmother’s house in the next valley. Their grandmother was feeling a bit sick and needed care. “Evelyn, my dear,” said Evelyn’s mother, “please take the road, which is longer but safer, instead of the path through the forest, which is more dangerous!” She explained this because of Evelyn’s joyful personality, she wanted to make sure Evelyn was safe.

Evelyn’s mother prepared a basket full of delicious food to help care for their grandmother. Nothing helps an illness better than a meal made with love! Evelyn, or rather, Little Red Riding Hood, left home with their hood and the basket of food, promising to return the next day! Evelyn resisted eating any of the food, considering their joyful personality. They wanted to make sure their grandmother got all of it.

As soon as Evelyn left the house, they met a wolf. The wolf, who was evil but pretended to be kind, asked where Evelyn was going. “I’m going to my grandmother’s house,” Evelyn told him. “I’m taking her some food.” The wolf said goodbye and went on his way, and so did Evelyn.

Evelyn took the longer but safer path, just like their mother had asked. However, what Evelyn didn’t know was that the wolf had taken the forest path and planned to reach their grandmother’s house before them. And so he did.

The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house and ate the old lady in one bite! Then, when Evelyn arrived at their grandmother’s house, the wolf, dressed in the grandmother’s clothes, pretended to be her to deceive Evelyn.

Evelyn found their grandmother’s appearance strange. “Grandma,” she asked, “why are your eyes so big?” The wolf, disguised as the grandmother, said, “It’s to see Little Red Riding Hood better.” Then Evelyn asked, “Why is your nose so big, Grandma?” The wolf said, “It’s to smell you better!” Then Evelyn asked, “Grandma, why is your mouth so big?” The wolf couldn’t resist any longer and pounced on Evelyn, saying, “It’s to taste you better!”

Just then, a wise old woodsman, who had magical powers, was walking through the forest. The old man heard Evelyn in trouble! Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, the old man entered the house and saved the child.

The magical woodsman enchanted the wolf, making him tame and gentle, and put him to sleep. Evelyn told the woodsman that the wolf had eaten their grandmother. The woodsman smiled, saying that no evil could defeat goodness! With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!

Evelyn hugged their beloved grandmother! Wearing her red hood that covered her wavy hair, Evelyn thanked the woodsman and offered him the delicious food their mother had prepared!

That night, Evelyn, their grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food made by Evelyn’s mother.
