Once upon a time, there was a child named Michael who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains. The house was small, but it was warm and cozy, and the mountains around it were beautiful. Michael loved to climb the mountains and look at the clouds. They loved to look at birds too, and they liked to pretend they were birds themselves! They loved their mom very much, but Michael adored their grandmother even more!
Michael’s grandmother had sewn a red hood for them to keep them warm in the winter. It was big and fluffy and looked so good on Michael! Everyone called them Little Red Riding Hood because of it. Michael’s hair was blonde and straight, and their brown eyes shone with kindness.
One day, Michael’s mother asked them to go to their grandmother’s house in the next valley. The grandmother was feeling a bit sick and needed Michael to take care of her. “Michael, please go by the road,” said their mother. “It’s a longer way, but it’s safer than going through the forest. It’s better to stay safe, you know, because of your calm personality.” Michael understood that their mother was right and nodded calmly.
Michael’s mother had prepared a basket full of delicious food. It had yummy sandwiches, cookies, and sweet fruit to help their grandmother get well. After all, nothing makes you feel better than a meal made with love! “I’ll be back tomorrow, Mom,” said Michael, before they left the house. Michael held their red hood, and they promised to return the next day. Michael resisted the urge to eat any of the food in the basket, as they were very calm and polite.
As soon as Little Red Riding Hood left their house, they met a wolf. The wolf was evil but pretended to be kind! “Hello, Little Red Riding Hood!” he said with a big smile. “Where are you going?” Michael told the wolf that they were taking food to their grandmother, who was sick. The wolf nodded and said goodbye. He then walked away, and so did Michael.
Little Red Riding Hood took the longer road. However, what Michael didn’t know was that the wolf had taken the path through the forest, and he planned to reach their grandmother’s house before them. And so, he did! The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house and, in one big bite, ate the old lady!
When Little Red Riding Hood arrived at their grandmother’s house, the wolf was already there, dressed in the grandmother’s clothes! He pretended to be her to deceive Michael. The wolf had a big, wide smile on his face.
“Why are your eyes so big?” asked Michael. The wolf answered, “It’s to see you better, my dear Little Red Riding Hood!” Then Michael asked, “And why is your nose so big?” The wolf said, “It’s to smell you better!” Finally, Michael asked, “But why is your mouth so big?”
The wolf couldn’t resist any longer. He pounced on Michael, saying, “It’s to taste you better!”
At that moment, a wise old woodsman who lived in the forest heard Michael in trouble! The old man had magical powers, and he was very good and kind. Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, he entered the house. The old man saved the child from the hungry wolf!
The woodsman enchanted the wolf, making him tame and gentle. He put the wolf to sleep, and then Michael told the woodsman that the wolf had eaten their grandmother. The woodsman smiled, saying that no evil could defeat goodness! With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!
Michael hugged their beloved grandmother. They were so happy to see her again! Michael, wearing their red hood that covered their straight hair, thanked the woodsman and offered him the delicious food that their mother had prepared.
That night, Michael, their grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food made by Michael’s mother. They laughed and talked about how good it was!
And doesn’t this story make you hungry?
