Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. Pedro was David's best friend. They played together every day in the garden behind David's house. They both loved history and pretended to be knights and kings, fighting imaginary battles and exploring ancient lands.
One day, Pedro met David in the garden. He looked very sad. "My father passed away," he said, "and he left a windmill to my brother, a mule to my other brother, and only a cat to me."
David was surprised. "How will you survive with just a cat!" he exclaimed. "Don't worry, we'll figure something out!" David loved adventures, and he was always ready to help his friends. But before they could think of a plan, the cat interrupted. "If you get me a pair of leather boots," he said, "I will prove very useful."
David and Pedro looked at each other. They broke open their piggy bank, where they had been saving their coins. It didn't have much, but it was enough to buy a pair of boots for the cat!
"Do you want to go with me?" the cat asked. Pedro hesitated. "I will stay with my brothers," he said, but David, who never turned down an adventure, said, "I'm coming with you!"
The cat took them to the enchanted forest near David's house in Indianapolis. The cat was a good hunter, and he caught two hens for them to eat. It was magical! They reached the forest on a big, fluffy cloud that took them through the sky. David showed the cat his secret, his Time Travel superpower. The cat was impressed!
"I have a plan," the cat said. "You'll see soon enough." He took David to the enchanted castle in the forest. They gave the hens to one of the king's servants, saying they were a gift from a young man who had recently moved to the kingdom. The king's servants were happy! They thanked David and the cat. Soon after, they set off to find Pedro.
When they found Pedro in the garden, the cat told him what he had done. Pedro was confused. "What's the plan?" he asked David. But David still didn't know.
They all played in the garden. Pedro and David even decided to swim in the nearby pond. Suddenly, a royal carriage approached! The cat ran off. "Stay here," he told them. "It's all part of the plan!"
The cat met the king, who was in the carriage. "Someone has stolen the clothes of my young master, David!" the cat said. The king was always kind. He invited the cat, David, and Pedro to ride in the carriage. "I will arrange new clothes for you!" he said. David thanked the king. He loved adventures, and this was already exciting!
The cat then asked the king, "Would you be interested in seeing the lands of my young master Pedro?" The king, eager to learn more about his kingdom, agreed!
The cat directed the carriage to the castle of a powerful ogre! Pedro didn't know what was happening, but he and David enjoyed the adventure!
When they arrived, the cat jumped out of the carriage first. "Show the king around your lands," he said to Pedro. Pedro and David decided to play along while the cat carried out his plan.
The cat entered the castle. Soon, the wicked ogre asked, "What is a cat doing in my castle?"
"I admire your magical powers," the cat said cleverly. "Can you transform into a lion?"
Like magic, the ogre turned into a lion!
"Can you transform into a mouse?" the cat asked. The ogre, wanting to show off his powers, turned into a mouse!
The cat, now a lion, ate the mouse!
Now, the castle belonged to Pedro! He and David could play a lot there! Especially with David's superpower, Time Travel!
The cat, who also had magical powers, turned back into a cat and went to meet the king, Pedro, and David. He invited them all into the castle.
The king was dazzled by the incredible castle and even more by the humility of Pedro and David. He said he would introduce his daughter as a potential future match for Pedro. He thought that Pedro and his daughter would have a beautiful family together!
Pedro and David were delighted with the situation. They were eager to meet the princess, but they decided to tell the truth! They told the king everything about the cat's adventures.
The king was even happier to meet children who carried honesty and good values in their hearts.
After that day, Pedro, David, the cat, and the princess played together every day in the enchanted forest garden. They all loved history and had many wonderful adventures together.
This truly is a happily ever after!
