The Three Little Pigs with Henry

The Three Little Pigs with Henry

Once upon a time, there was a curious and adventurous child named Henry. Henry loved to go on walks in the forest. He would imagine all the different kinds of fish swimming in the nearby lake. Sometimes, he would even talk to them! But today, Henry wasn't thinking about fish. He was exploring a grassy clearing in the middle of the forest, watching a trail of ants march across a fallen log.

Suddenly, Henry heard some voices. "This is so boring!" one voice said. "We should have stayed home!" another voice chimed in. Henry's adventurous spirit got the best of him! He tiptoed closer to see who was talking.

There, in the middle of the clearing, were three little piglets! They were so cute! One had a curly tail that wiggled like a worm. Another had a pink nose that twitched constantly. And the third had a big, goofy smile that stretched from ear to ear.

"Hello!" the piglets squealed, seeing Henry. "Do you live in a house?" they asked.

Henry was confused. "Of course I live in a house! I live in San Antonio with my family."

The littlest piglet giggled. "We left our mother's house. We're all grown up now!" She looked at her sisters. "Mom said we need to build our own houses. There's a wolf in the forest who likes to eat piglets!"

Henry gasped! He was only four years old, but he knew about wolves! "I can help you build houses!" he said.

The piglets were excited! "Let's get started!" they shouted.

The first piglet decided to build her house out of straw. She tied it together in big blocks and didn't even put in a door or a window! "I want to go play!" she said.

Henry wanted to help, but he didn't want the piglets to be bored. "We can all help each other," he said. "That way, we can all play together!" Henry loved to play with his superpower - talking to fish!

The second piglet gathered sticks from the forest. She built a cabin with a roof, doors, and windows. But then she saw her sister playing and forgot to put in the nails! "I'm going to go play!" she called out.

Henry went to help the third piglet. She wanted to build a house just like her mother's, with bricks, cement, glass windows, and a strong roof. It took a long time, and Henry and the piglet sweated from all the hard work! But they laughed and joked as they worked. They could see their friends playing in the distance.

Finally, the house was finished! The piglet was so proud! She invited Henry to eat something in her new house. They could cook something on the wood stove they had built.

That night, the wolf appeared! The piglets and Henry were scared. The wolf went straight to the straw house and with one strong blow, knocked the whole house down! The piglet who lived there ran through the dark forest, with the wolf close behind.

Henry worried. "We can go to my hiding place, the Underwater World, if we need to!" he said.

The wolf, who was hungry and didn't want to waste time, went to the wooden cabin. Two strong blows, and the house fell apart. The second piglet ran and found her sister hiding in the forest.

The wolf, already irritated, went to blow down the third house, made of bricks. He blew, blew, blew, but nothing happened. The house didn't fall. So he decided to go down the chimney. It seemed like a good idea! But when he started to descend, he smelled something burning. His tail was on fire!

This time, it was the wolf who was scared! He ran away as fast as he could.

The two hiding piglets laughed when they saw the wolf running away. They were finally able to return to their sister's house. Their sister welcomed them, and they all had a delicious soup with Henry. It felt good to be inside a warm and safe house!

And so, Henry and the three little piglets enjoyed that night, realizing that sometimes, good things take time!
