Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. He was a good friend of Joseph, a boy with wavy black hair and brown eyes. They were both very inventive and loved to play with robots. They spent many hours in their favorite place, the garden, building robots and sharing their ideas.
One day, Pedro met Joseph in the garden with tears in his eyes. “My father passed away,” he said, his voice trembling. “He left the family windmill to my older brother, a pack mule to my middle brother, and only a cat to me.” Joseph was shocked! “How are you going to survive with just a cat?” he asked.
Joseph wanted to help Pedro, he was a very inventive boy! But before he could say anything, the cat interrupted. “If you get me a pair of leather boots, I can be very useful to Pedro,” he meowed.
Joseph and Pedro had saved lots of coins in their piggy bank. They broke it open and bought the cat a shiny pair of boots! The cat then asked, "Do you want to come with me?” Pedro said he would stay with his brothers. But Joseph, always up for an adventure, jumped up and said, “Let’s go!”
The cat took Joseph to the enchanted forest near Joseph’s house in Charlotte. “Look! I have robotic arms! They’re awesome!” Joseph exclaimed, showing off his superpower. The cat chuckled. “That’s great, Joseph, but I’ll tell you my plan later. Now, watch where you’re going!”
The cat knew the enchanted forest well and was a great hunter. Soon, he had caught two hens! With a flick of his paw, he made the forest come alive with magical colors. He told Joseph, “This is my magic! Now we are going to the enchanted castle!”
They gave the hens to a servant at the castle, saying, "These are a gift from a young man who has recently moved to the kingdom." The servant was happy to receive them. After that, the cat and Joseph set off to find Pedro.
They found Pedro in the garden and told him about their adventure. "What’s the plan, Joseph?" Pedro asked. But Joseph was still confused. He didn’t know how the cat’s plan would work!
The cat, Pedro, and Joseph played for a while. Then Pedro and Joseph decided to swim in the pond. Suddenly, the cat ran off! “Stay here, Pedro and Joseph, this is all part of the plan!” he shouted.
A royal carriage pulled up and the cat ran towards it. He told the king, “Someone has stolen the clothes of my young master, Joseph!” The king, a kind man, invited Joseph, Pedro, and the cat to ride in the carriage. "Don't worry, I will arrange new clothes for you,” he said. "Thank you, your Majesty!” Joseph said, feeling grateful for the king’s kindness.
“Your Majesty, would you be interested in seeing the lands of my young master, Pedro?" the cat asked. The king was curious and said, “Yes, of course!"
The cat then directed the carriage towards a castle in the forest, the home of a powerful ogre! Pedro was confused, but Joseph was excited. “This is an adventure!" he said.
As the carriage arrived at the castle, the cat jumped out first and told Pedro, “Show the king your lands!” Pedro and Joseph decided to play along. They had no idea what the cat was up to!
The cat entered the castle and the wicked ogre asked, "What is a cat doing in my castle?" The clever cat said, "I admire your magic, sir. Could you turn me into a lion?" The ogre, wanting to show off his power, instantly transformed the cat into a lion! "And could you turn me into a mouse?" the cat said.
The ogre, eager to prove his magical abilities, transformed into a mouse! The cat, now a lion, ate the mouse in one bite! The castle was now Pedro's!
The cat, who also had magical powers, turned back into a cat and went to meet the king, Pedro, and Joseph. “Come on in, this castle is now yours,” he said.
The king was amazed by the castle and even more impressed by Pedro and Joseph. “I would love to introduce my daughter to you as a potential future match,” he said, “I think you and my daughter would make a beautiful family!”
Pedro and Joseph were thrilled! They couldn’t wait to meet the princess! But they felt it was important to tell the truth. “We need to tell the king how the cat helped us,” Pedro said.
They explained everything to the king. The king was even happier to meet children who were honest and kind. He was very impressed by their courage and compassion!
From that day on, Pedro, Joseph, the cat, and the princess played together every day in the enchanted forest garden. They even built robots together! This truly is a happily ever after!
