William woke up one morning and saw something amazing! His pet cat, Sophia, was wearing a tiny jetpack! "Sophia, are you going to the moon?" William giggled.
"Not quite," Sophia purred, adjusting her sparkly pink jetpack. "We're going to the Enchanted Forest! Remember, you have a check-up today?"
William loved the Enchanted Forest. It was filled with talking trees and sparkling fairies. But he didn't like check-ups. "Do I have to go?" he asked.
"Of course," Sophia said. "Going to the doctor helps us stay healthy and strong! And the Enchanted Forest has the best doctor ever!"
Sophia scooped William up in her paws and they zoomed out the window. The city of San Francisco shrunk below them until all William could see were fluffy clouds. Then, just as quickly, the clouds parted, revealing a forest bathed in sunshine.
Giant trees with faces like friendly grandpas smiled down at them. Colorful flowers sang a happy tune as they landed. Fairies with shimmering wings fluttered around William, giggling.
"Welcome, William!" boomed a voice. It was Old Majesty, the wisest tree in the forest. His leaves rustled like a hundred whispers.
"Hi, Old Majesty!" William said, a little shyly.
Sophia gently nudged him forward. "Go on, Dr. Willow is waiting for you."
William followed a path of glowing mushrooms until he reached a cozy tree hollow. Inside, a kind-looking tree with leaves that shimmered like rainbows smiled at him.
"Hello, William! I'm Dr. Willow. Let's see how strong you are today," Dr. Willow said.
William puffed out his chest, remembering how much he loved playing superheroes. Dr. Willow had him do some jumping jacks and touch his toes. He even got to lift a tiny mushroom with his super strength!
"You're a very healthy boy, William," Dr. Willow said with a smile. "Remember, eating your fruits and vegetables helps you stay strong for all your adventures!"
William giggled. He knew Sophia had been right! Going to the doctor wasn’t so bad, especially in the Enchanted Forest! He got a yummy berry juice and a hug from Dr. Willow before Sophia whisked him back home, just in time for lunch.
That night, as William snuggled into bed, he thought about the Enchanted Forest and his exciting check-up. He couldn’t wait to tell his friends all about it!
