The Three Little Pigs with David

The Three Little Pigs with David

Once upon a time, there was a curious and adventurous child named David. David loved to go on walks in the forest. He would dream about all the amazing things he learned about history. That day, David was exploring some bugs in a grassy clearing in the middle of the forest. He was watching a trail of ants when he heard some voices. David was curious! He decided to find out what all the talking was about. He followed the voices.

There, David found three little sister piglets! They were so funny! One piglet was very tiny, with a big pink nose that always wiggled. The second one was tall and had a funny laugh that sounded like a giggle. The third piglet was round and soft, like a marshmallow!

The little piglets saw David and called him over. Before they even said hello, the tiny piglet asked, “Do you live in a house?” David was confused. Of course, he lived in a house! He lived in a cozy house with his family in Indianapolis.

The little piglet with the pink nose explained, “We left our mother's house because we grew up. Our mom told us to build our own houses. She said the forest can be dangerous, especially with a wolf who likes to eat piglets!” David was surprised! He couldn’t believe the piglets were so young.

David quickly said, “I can help you build houses!” He wanted to help.

Each little piglet decided to build her own house. The first piglet used straw. She tied it up into big blocks, but she didn’t even make a door or a window! She wanted to finish quickly so she could play! She called to David. "Come play with me!" she shouted.

David said, “Let’s help everyone a little bit, then we can all play together!” David loved to play with his superpower, time travel. He could travel through time with a special Time Tunnel!

The second piglet gathered wood from the forest. She built a cabin with a roof, doors, and windows. But she saw her sister playing and didn’t want to put in many nails. Finally, she went to play too.

David went to help the third piglet. She wanted to build a house just like their mother's. She wanted bricks, cement, glass windows, and a strong roof! It took a lot of time. David and the little piglet worked hard, and they even got sweaty! But they laughed while they worked! They could see the other two piglets playing and having fun.

When David and the third piglet finished their house, she invited David to eat something in her new house! David was excited! He loved to explore new places. They cooked some food on their new wood stove.

That night, a wolf appeared! The piglets and David were scared! The wolf went to the straw house and with one big blow, knocked it down! The piglet who lived in the straw house ran through the forest. The wolf couldn’t catch her. David worried. He said they could use his Time Tunnel to hide if they needed to!

The wolf was hungry and didn’t want to waste time. He went to the wooden cabin. It took two big blows, and the house fell apart! The second piglet ran and found her sister hiding in the forest.

The wolf was getting frustrated! He went to blow down the third house. He could smell yummy food coming out of the chimney! He blew, blew, blew, but the house didn’t fall! So he decided to go down the chimney! It seemed like a good idea! But when he started to go down, he smelled something burning! His tail was on fire!

This time, it was the wolf who was scared! He quickly ran away!

The two hiding piglets laughed when they saw the wolf running away. They finally came back to their sister’s house. Their sister welcomed them, and she and David had a yummy soup! It felt good to be safe inside a warm, strong house!

And so, David and the three little piglets enjoyed that night, realizing that sometimes, good things take time!
