This story begins a few years ago… Even before Benjamin was born… There was a celebration happening in the enchanted kingdom, the one that Benjamin knew how to reach through the path of dreams and imagination… But anyway, the story begins before that.
The kingdom was bursting with joy! The king and queen, who had tried for many years to have a baby, had finally had a daughter! They named her Princess Aurora. To celebrate, the kingdom threw a grand party! All the fairies came to the celebration, and they gave Princess Aurora special gifts! One fairy gave her the gift of intelligence, another gave her the gift of kindness, and yet another gave her the gift of humility. But one of the fairies wasn't very nice. The gift she gave was a curse! When Princess Aurora grew up, she would prick her finger on a spindle and die!
Everyone in the kingdom was very happy, after all, they couldn’t take back the gifts the fairies had given. But then, a very funny little fairy arrived late and managed to change the curse! The princess would still prick her finger, but she wouldn’t die. Instead, she would fall into a deep sleep until a prince kissed her!
Years went by, and there were no spindles in the kingdom! Everyone learned to sew with sticks and thread. They had to protect the princess from getting hurt! But when she was a teenager, Princess Aurora found a spindle, an object she’d never seen before, and decided to use it. After all, it would be much easier to sew with a spindle! But the curse was set, and the princess quickly pricked her finger, causing her and the entire kingdom to fall into a deep sleep for many, many years…
It was at this moment that Benjamin entered the story! One day, while Benjamin was playing in his treehouse, which was really a secret hideout, he met a young man. The young man was sitting in a chair made of clouds! Benjamin was so surprised, he started to giggle.
“Hey, I’m Prince Nicholas,” the young man said, smiling. “I’ve come to ask for your help!”
“My help?” asked Benjamin, his brown eyes wide with curiosity.
“Yes!” said the prince. “You see, I’m from a kingdom not far from here. And I’ve heard a story about a princess who’s been sleeping for a very long time. And I want to wake her up!”
“A princess? Sleeping?” Benjamin’s curly brown hair bounced as he shook his head. “That sounds exciting!”
The prince, who was also very courageous, invited Benjamin on an adventure! Together, they would reach the enchanted kingdom of Princess Aurora and free her from her deep sleep! Benjamin, who loved an adventure, especially in enchanted kingdoms, accepted the invitation!
The prince and Benjamin took a giant bubble to the enchanted kingdom! They floated through the sky, looking down at the world below. The prince told Benjamin all about Princess Aurora. “She’s a wonderful princess,” the prince said. “And she’s been sleeping for a long time. I’m hoping I can be her true love.”
When they arrived, the castle was all covered in leaves! A huge forest had grown around it over the years. They could see the tall tower where Princess Aurora was sleeping.
“How will we get to the tower?” Benjamin asked. “It’s surrounded by a forest!”
Prince Nicholas smiled. “We’ll need to be very careful,” he said. “We’ll have to climb over tree trunks, jump over prickly bushes, and be very quiet! We don’t want to wake up any scary creatures!”
The prince and Benjamin started their journey through the forest. They faced many challenges! The flowers sprouted thorns out of nowhere! The tree trunks moved and blocked paths. There were monstrous creatures that they had to battle! But with Benjamin’s superpower, he could breathe underwater! And the prince, being a prince, knew how to fight!
The prince and Benjamin reached the castle. They went straight to the tower where Princess Aurora was sleeping. Benjamin whispered, “Go for it, Prince Nicholas! You can do this!”
And as if by magic, Prince Nicholas kissed Princess Aurora’s lips. The princess woke up, and the entire kingdom with her!
Slowly, the forest around the castle began to disappear… And everything became bright and enchanted once again!
Princess Aurora was very happy to have found her true love and Benjamin! “You’re a true hero, Benjamin,” the princess said. “Thank you for helping me!” She sweetly invited Benjamin to play in the castle whenever he wanted!
“I love pirates,” the princess said. “Would you like to play pirates with me?”
Benjamin was very happy with the invitation! “I’ll come whenever my imagination wanders to the enchanted kingdom,” he said. “And I love pirates too!”
And on that day, Benjamin knew they would live happily ever after!
