The Three Little Pigs with Elijah

The Three Little Pigs with Elijah

Once upon a time, there was a curious and adventurous child named Elijah. Elijah loved to go on walks, especially when he could dream about space. One day, besides dreaming, Elijah was exploring some bugs in a grassy clearing in the middle of a forest.

Elijah was watching a trail of ants when he heard some voices. “What’s that?” he wondered. He was very curious, so he decided to see what all the conversation was about! He carefully walked towards the sound of the voices. Soon, he saw three little piglets! They were so cute! One piglet was wearing a pink ribbon, and the other had a little flower in her ear. The third piglet was very chubby and had a curly tail.

The piglets immediately called Elijah over. “Hello, little boy! Do you live in a house?” they asked, before even saying hello.

Elijah was confused. “Of course, I live in a house!” he said. “My house is in Fort Worth, and it’s a cozy home I share with my family.”

“Oh, how exciting!” said the youngest piglet. “My sisters and I just left our mother’s house. We’re all grown up now! Our mother told us we should build our own houses because the forest has some dangers, like a wolf who loves to eat piglets!” The piglet looked scared.

Elijah, being a curious and helpful child, immediately said, “I can help you build your houses!”

Each of the piglets was going to build her own house. The first piglet decided to use straw. She tied it up in big blocks and didn’t even bother with a door or window! She wanted to finish quickly so she could go play! She called for Elijah, but Elijah said, “We’ll help all three of you a little bit each, so we can all play together! I love to play with my superpower, traveling through space!”

The other piglet decided to gather wood from the forest and built her cabin. She had a roof, doors, and windows, but she saw her sister playing and didn’t bother with putting in many nails. Finally, she went to play, too! Then Elijah went to help the third piglet.

The third piglet wanted to build a house like her mother’s, with bricks, cement, glass windows, and a secure roof. It took a lot of time! Elijah and the piglet sweated with all that work! But they laughed while doing it! Meanwhile, they saw the two other piglets already free and having lots of fun.

When the third piglet and Elijah finished the whole job, the piglet invited Elijah to eat something in her new house! Elijah was so excited! They could cook something on the wood stove they had built.

That night, the wolf appeared! The piglets and Elijah were scared! The wolf went straight to the straw house and with just one strong blow, knocked the whole house down! The piglet who lived there ran through the dark forest without the wolf being able to catch her. “I can take you all to my space station if we need to hide!” Elijah whispered, worried about his new friends.

The wolf, who was hungry and didn’t want to waste time, went straight to the wooden cabin. It took two strong blows, and soon the house fell apart. The second piglet ran and found her sister hiding in the forest.

The wolf, already irritated, went to blow down the third house, made of bricks, from which a delicious smell was coming out of the chimney. He blew, blew, blew, and nothing! The house didn't fall. So he decided to go down the chimney! It seemed like a good idea! And when he started to descend, he smelled something burning! His tail was on fire!

This time it was the wolf who was scared! He quickly ran away from there!

The two hiding piglets laughed when they saw the wolf running away and finally were able to return. Their sister welcomed them, and along with Elijah, they had a delicious soup! It felt good to feel welcomed, inside a warm and safe house!

And so, Elijah and the three little piglets enjoyed that night, realizing that sometimes, good things take time!
