Jackson's Homework Went Woosh!

Jackson's Homework Went Woosh!

"Look, Grandpa, my homework just flew away!" Jackson shouted, pointing his shiny robot arm towards the sky. It was a bright, sunny day in Indianapolis, and Jackson was supposed to be finishing his drawing of a big, fire-breathing dragon. But a playful gust of wind had other plans, whisking his drawing high above the trees!

"Well, now that's a flying problem!" chuckled Grandpa, adjusting his pirate hat. "But don't worry, my little adventurer, we'll catch that runaway artwork." He winked, grabbing his trusty net – the same one he used to catch butterflies in the park.

Speaking of the park, that's where they were headed. As they walked, Jackson spotted a sleek black cat tiptoeing along a fence. The cat stopped and stared at Jackson's drawing, which was stuck high up on a branch. The cat seemed to smile – maybe it liked dragons too!

The park was bustling with families enjoying the sunshine. Kids were giggling on the swings, dogs were chasing squirrels, and the air was filled with the sweet smell of popcorn. Jackson loved the park, especially the big oak tree with branches perfect for climbing. Guess where his drawing had landed? Right at the tippy top!

"Don't worry, Jackson, I'll get it!" Grandpa said, getting ready to climb. But before Grandpa could take a single step, the black cat leaped onto the tree trunk. It scurried up the rough bark with amazing speed, its muscles rippling under its shiny coat.

Up, up, up the cat climbed, until it reached Jackson's drawing. Gently, it nudged the paper with its nose, and the drawing fluttered down, landing right in Jackson’s open arms.

"Wow, thanks, kitty!" Jackson cried, hugging his artwork. The black cat rubbed against his legs, purring happily. It felt soft as a cloud.

"You know, Jackson," Grandpa said, watching the cat disappear into the crowd, "Sometimes, even cats can help with homework!"

Jackson laughed. He knew Grandpa was right. He grabbed his crayons, eager to finish his dragon picture. It was going to be the best dragon ever, thanks to a helpful cat and a fun adventure in the park. He knew just the shade of green to use for the dragon – the same green as the cat's bright eyes!
