Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. He was a friend of Sophia. They played together every day! Sophia had beautiful brown wavy hair and sparkling blue eyes. They both loved dolls. They would spend hours making up stories about their dolls and having them go on exciting adventures.
One day, Pedro met Sophia in the garden. His face was sad. "Sophia," he said, "my father has passed away." Pedro's father had left his family some things. "He left the family windmill to my older brother, a pack mule to my middle brother, and only a cat to me," said Pedro.
"A cat?" asked Sophia. "How will you survive with just a cat?" Sophia was very funny!
"I'll help," said Sophia. But before Pedro could answer, the cat interrupted. "If you get me a pair of leather boots," meowed the cat, "I will prove very useful to Pedro!"
Sophia and Pedro had saved a lot of coins in their piggy bank. They broke it open and bought a pair of boots for the cat. "Do you want to go with me?" the cat asked. Pedro said he would stay with his brothers, but Sophia loved adventures! She set off with the cat, full of hope.
The cat took Sophia to the enchanted forest near Sophia's house in San Diego. Sophia showed the cat her superpower! She could teleport! They went whoosh! and whoosh! all over the forest. The cat was a good hunter. He caught two hens! "Don't worry," said the cat. "I have a plan! You will understand soon."
The cat and Sophia headed to the enchanted castle in the forest. They gave the hens to one of the king's servants. "These are a gift from a young man who just moved to the kingdom," said the cat. The king loved the hens! Then the cat and Sophia set off to find Pedro.
They met Pedro in the garden. "I did something!" said the cat. "What is the plan?" asked Pedro. Sophia still didn't know!
Pedro and Sophia decided to go for a swim in the pond. Suddenly, a royal carriage approached. The cat ran off. "Stay put! It's all part of the plan!" said the cat.
The cat met the king in the carriage. "Someone stole the clothes of my young master and Sophia!" said the cat. The king was very kind. "Come with me! I will get you new clothes," he said. Sophia thanked the king. She was always so funny!
"Would you like to see the lands of my young master, Pedro?" asked the cat. "Of course!" said the king. The cat directed the carriage to the castle of a powerful ogre! Pedro didn't know what was happening, but he and Sophia enjoyed the adventure!
The cat jumped out of the carriage. "Pedro, show the king around your lands," said the cat. Pedro and Sophia decided to play along.
The cat entered the castle. The wicked ogre asked, "What is a cat doing in my castle?"
"I admire your magical powers," said the cat. "Can you turn into a lion?" Like magic, the ogre turned into a lion! Then the cat said, "Can you turn into a mouse?" The ogre wanted to show off his powers. He turned into a mouse!
The cat was now a lion. He ate the mouse! The castle belonged to Pedro! Pedro and Sophia could play there a lot! Sophia's superpower, Teleportation, made everything even more fun!
The cat used his own magical powers to turn back into a cat. "Come on, let's go to the castle!" he said.
The king was dazzled by the castle. He was even more impressed by Pedro and Sophia. "I would love to introduce my daughter to you," said the king. "You would make a beautiful family."
Pedro and Sophia were excited! They wanted to meet the princess, but they decided to tell the truth!
They told the king about the cat's adventures. The king was even happier to meet children who were honest and good.
After that day, Pedro, Sophia, the cat, and the princess played together every day in the enchanted forest garden. They all loved dolls! This truly is a happily ever after!
