The Three Little Pigs with Harper

The Three Little Pigs with Harper

Once upon a time, there was a curious and adventurous child named Harper. Harper had wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She loved to go on walks, especially in the woods, where she could dream about her favorite animal: unicorns. One day, Harper was exploring a grassy clearing in the middle of the forest, watching a line of ants carrying crumbs. Suddenly, she heard some voices coming from behind a bush.

Harper was a friendly girl, so she decided to find out who was talking. She peeked around the bush and gasped! Three little piglets were huddled together, whispering excitedly. They had curly tails and pink snouts, and their little legs were so short they almost looked like they were waddling.

“Hello!” called Harper, waving her hand.

The piglets immediately turned to look at her. “Did you live in a house?” asked the smallest piglet, who had a funny little tuft of hair on her head.

Harper was confused. “Of course, I live in a house!” she said. “It’s in San Francisco, and it’s very cozy. I live there with my family.”

The youngest piglet giggled. “We just left our mother’s house!” she exclaimed. “We’re all grown up now, and our mother told us to build our own houses. She said the forest can be dangerous, especially with that wolf who loves to eat piglets!”

Harper’s eyes widened in surprise. “A wolf?” she asked, feeling a little scared. She was only six years old, after all.

“Don’t worry,” said the middle piglet. “We’re going to build strong houses that he won’t be able to knock down!”

“We can help!” said Harper. “I have a special power. I can make rainbows!” She smiled, showing off her bright, white teeth.

The piglets looked at each other, their eyes twinkling. “Rainbows? That sounds amazing!” chirped the middle piglet.

And so, the piglets and Harper set to work building their houses. The oldest piglet wanted to finish quickly, so she used straw to build her house. She tied it up in big blocks and didn’t even bother with a door or window! She wanted to go play!

“Wait, I’ll help you!” called Harper, but the piglet was already running off.

The middle piglet decided to build a house out of wood. She gathered branches and leaves and built a cabin with a roof, doors, and windows. She was so excited to see her sister playing that she didn’t bother hammering in many nails!

Harper helped the third piglet, who wanted to build a house just like her mother’s, with bricks, cement, glass windows, and a secure roof. It took a long time, and they both sweated a lot. They even laughed while they worked!

“Look!” cried the third piglet, pointing to the other piglets, who were playing happily in the forest.

When they finally finished the house, the third piglet invited Harper inside for a snack. Harper was delighted to be invited! They could cook something on the wood stove they had built!

That night, the wolf appeared! The piglets and Harper were scared! The wolf went straight to the straw house and with one strong blow, knocked it down! The piglet who lived there ran through the dark forest, the wolf close behind.

“Oh no!” cried Harper. “He’s going to get her!”

“Don’t worry,” said the second piglet. “We can go to my hiding place! It’s a Magic cloud!”

The wolf, who was hungry and didn’t want to waste time, went straight to the wooden cabin. It took two strong blows, and soon the house fell apart. The second piglet ran and found her sister hiding in the forest.

The wolf, already irritated, went to blow down the third house, made of bricks, from which a delicious smell was coming out of the chimney. He blew, blew, blew, and nothing happened. The house didn’t fall. So he decided to go down the chimney! It seemed like a good idea! And when he started to descend, he smelled something burning! His tail was on fire!

This time it was the wolf who was scared! He quickly ran away from there!

The two hiding piglets laughed when they saw the wolf running away. They returned to the brick house, where their sister welcomed them. They all had a delicious soup with Harper. It felt good to feel welcomed, inside a warm and safe house!

And so, Harper and the three little piglets enjoyed that night, realizing that sometimes, good things take time!
