The Three Little Pigs with Sofia

The Three Little Pigs with Sofia

Once upon a time, there was a curious and adventurous child named Sofia. Sofia loved to go on walks in the forest, especially when she could dream about pirates and their exciting adventures! That day, Sofia was exploring some tiny bugs in a grassy clearing. She was watching a line of ants, following each other, carrying little bits of food.

Suddenly, Sofia heard some voices. She wondered who was talking in the middle of the forest! Sofia's adventurous spirit made her want to find out, so she walked quietly to see who was speaking.

She was surprised to find three little piglets! They were so funny! One piglet had a curly tail, another one had spots on her nose, and the third one had a happy smile. The little piglets saw Sofia and called her over. Before they could say hello, they asked, "Do you live in a house?"

Sofia was confused. "Of course I live in a house!" she said. "I live in a cozy house in San Jose with my family."

The youngest piglet explained, "We left our mother's house because we grew up! Our mother told us to build our own houses because the forest is dangerous. There's a wolf who likes to eat piglets!" Sofia's eyes grew wide. She thought about the wolf and felt a little scared, but then she remembered how brave she was!

"I can help you build houses!" Sofia exclaimed.

The piglets were very happy to have help. The first piglet decided to build her house out of straw. She tied the straw together into big blocks and didn't even make a door or window! She wanted to finish quickly so she could play! She called to Sofia, "Come on, let's play!" Sofia said, "We can help all three of you a little bit at a time, so everyone can play together! I love to play with my superpower!"

The second piglet gathered wood from the forest and built her cabin. She made a roof, a door, and windows, but she saw her sister playing and didn't worry about putting in many nails. Finally, she went to play too! Sofia then went to help the third piglet.

The third piglet wanted to build a house just like her mother's, with bricks, cement, glass windows, and a strong roof. It took a long time. Sofia and the piglet sweated as they worked, but they laughed while they did it! They could see the other two piglets already playing and having fun.

When the third piglet and Sofia finished the whole house, the piglet invited Sofia to eat something in her new house! Sofia was excited to see her superpower at work! They could cook something on the wood stove they had built!

That night, the wolf appeared! The piglets and Sofia were afraid! The wolf went straight to the straw house and with just one strong blow, knocked the whole house down! The piglet who lived there ran through the dark forest without the wolf being able to catch her. Sofia worried, "We could go to our hiding place, Treasure Island, if we need to!"

The wolf was hungry and didn't want to waste time, so he went straight to the wooden cabin. It took two strong blows, and soon the house fell apart. The second piglet ran and found her sister hiding in the forest.

The wolf was already irritated and went to blow down the third house, made of bricks, from which a delicious smell was coming out of the chimney. He blew, blew, blew, but nothing happened. The house didn't fall. So he decided to go down the chimney! It seemed like a good idea! But when he started to descend, he smelled something burning! His tail was on fire!

This time it was the wolf who was scared and quickly ran away!

The two hiding piglets laughed when they saw the wolf running away and finally were able to return. Their sister welcomed them, and along with Sofia, they had a delicious soup! It felt good to feel welcomed, inside a warm and safe house!

And so, Sofia and the three little piglets enjoyed that night, realizing that sometimes, good things take time!
