Little Red Riding Hood with Joseph

Little Red Riding Hood with Joseph

Once upon a time, there was a child named Joseph who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains. The house had a big porch with a rocking chair where Joseph’s mother liked to sit and read books. Joseph loved their cozy house, especially the fireplace, which always made their home warm and inviting, even in the winter.

Joseph loved to play with robots. They would spend hours building robots out of boxes and string and anything they could find. More than anything, Joseph loved their grandmother! Their grandmother had sewn a red hood to keep Joseph warm, and because of this, everyone called them Little Red Riding Hood. The hood looked great on Joseph, especially considering their brown eyes and black hair.

One day, Joseph’s mother asked them to go to their grandmother’s house in the next valley. “Grandma’s feeling a bit sick and needs care,” said Joseph’s mother. “I need you to take the road, which is longer but safer, instead of the path through the forest, which is more dangerous! The forest can be tricky. You know your Inventive personality might get you into trouble!”

Joseph’s mother prepared a basket full of delicious food to help care for their grandmother. Nothing helps an illness better than a meal made with love! Joseph, or rather, Little Red Riding Hood, left home with their hood and the basket of food, promising to return the next day! Joseph resisted eating any of the food, considering their Inventive personality.

As soon as they left the house, Little Red Riding Hood met a wolf. The wolf, who was evil but pretended to be kind, asked where Joseph was going. “I’m taking food to my grandmother,” said Joseph. The wolf said goodbye and went on his way, and so did Joseph.

Joseph took the longer but safer path. However, what Joseph didn’t know was that the wolf had taken the forest path and planned to reach their grandmother’s house before them. And so he did! The wolf arrived at the grandmother’s house and ate the old lady in one bite! When Joseph arrived at their grandmother’s house, the wolf, dressed in the grandmother’s clothes, pretended to be her to deceive Joseph.

Joseph found their grandmother’s appearance strange. “Why are your eyes so big, Grandma?” asked Joseph. The wolf, disguised as the grandmother, said, “It’s to see Little Red Riding Hood better!” Then Joseph asked, “Why is your nose so big, Grandma?” The disguised wolf said, “It’s to smell you better!” Then Joseph asked, “Why is your mouth so big, Grandma?” The wolf couldn’t resist any longer and pounced on Joseph, saying, “It’s to taste you better!”

A wise old woodsman, who had magical powers, was walking through the forest. The old man heard Joseph in trouble! Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, the old man entered the house and saved the child.

The magical woodsman enchanted the wolf, making him tame and gentle, and put him to sleep. “The wolf ate my grandmother!” Joseph told the woodsman. The woodsman smiled. “No evil can defeat goodness!” With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!

Joseph hugged their beloved grandmother! Wearing their red hood that covered their wavy hair, Joseph thanked the woodsman and offered him the delicious food their mother had prepared!

That night, Joseph, their grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food made by Joseph’s mother.
