Little Red Riding Hood with William

Little Red Riding Hood with William

Once upon a time, there was a child named William who lived with their mother in a little house in the mountains. Their house was small, but it was cozy and warm, nestled between tall trees. The trees were William’s favorite place to play because they were home to many birds! William loved watching them fly and sing.

William was a very fast and cheerful child, with curly blonde hair and bright brown eyes. More than anything, William loved their grandmother! She was a wonderful woman who always had time for William. She had sewn a red hood to keep William warm, and because of this, everyone called them Little Red Riding Hood. The hood looked great on William, especially considering their brown eyes and blonde hair.

One day, William’s mother asked them to go to their grandmother’s house in the next valley. Their grandmother was feeling a bit sick and needed care. “William,” their mother said, “I want you to take the road, which is longer but safer, instead of the path through the forest. The forest is more dangerous, especially with your fast and cheerful personality.”

William’s mother prepared a basket full of delicious food to help care for their grandmother. “Nothing helps an illness better than a meal made with love!” she said. William, or rather, Little Red Riding Hood, left home with their hood and the basket of food, promising to return the next day! They resisted eating any of the food, considering their fast and cheerful personality.

As soon as Little Red Riding Hood left the house, they met a wolf. The wolf was evil, but he pretended to be kind. “Where are you going, little one?” he asked. “I’m taking food to my grandmother,” William said. The wolf said goodbye and went on his way, and so did William.

William took the longer but safer path. However, what William didn’t know was that the wolf had taken the forest path and planned to reach their grandmother’s house before them. And so he did. He arrived at the grandmother’s house and ate the old lady in one bite!

When William arrived at their grandmother’s house, the wolf, dressed in the grandmother’s clothes, pretended to be her to deceive William.

William found their grandmother’s appearance strange. “Grandmother, why are your eyes so big?” they asked. The wolf, disguised as the grandmother, said, “It’s to see Little Red Riding Hood better!” Then William asked, “Why is your nose so big?” The disguised wolf said, “It’s to smell you better!” Then William asked, “Why is your mouth so big?” The wolf couldn’t resist any longer and pounced on William, saying, “It’s to taste you better!”

A wise old woodsman, who had magical powers, was walking through the forest. The old man heard William in trouble! Before the wolf could eat Little Red Riding Hood, the old man entered the house and saved the child.

The magical woodsman enchanted the wolf, making him tame and gentle, and put him to sleep. William told the woodsman that the wolf had eaten their grandmother, and the woodsman smiled, saying, “No evil can defeat goodness!” With just a wave of his hands, he freed the grandmother from the wolf’s belly!

William hugged their beloved grandmother! Wearing their red hood that covered their curly hair, they thanked the woodsman and offered him the delicious food their mother had prepared!

That night, William, their grandmother, and the magical woodsman enjoyed the delicious food made by William’s mother.
