Once upon a time, there was a boy named Pedro. Pedro and Scarlett were the best of friends. They loved to play together. They both loved ballet! They would twirl and jump in the garden, laughing and having so much fun.
One day, Pedro met Scarlett in the garden. His face was sad. “My father passed away,” he said softly. “He left his windmill to my older brother, a mule to my middle brother, and… a cat to me.”
Scarlett was surprised. “A cat?” she asked. “How will you survive with just a cat?”
“I don’t know,” Pedro said sadly. “Maybe I should move to the city.”
Just then, the cat interrupted them. “If you buy me some boots, I can be very useful to Pedro!” he meowed. “Leather boots, the best kind!”
Scarlett and Pedro looked at each other. They had saved all their money in their piggy bank. They wanted to help Pedro! So they broke open their piggy bank, took out all their coins, and bought the cat a pair of brand new boots.
The cat put on his boots and smiled. “Let’s go on an adventure!” he said. “Pedro, stay here with your brothers. I will show Scarlett the world!”
Pedro nodded sadly, but Scarlett, who loved adventure, jumped up and down with excitement. She never turned down a chance to explore!
With the cat by her side, Scarlett skipped towards the enchanted forest near her home in Seattle. It was like magic! The forest was full of tall trees and singing birds. As they walked, Scarlett showed the cat her amazing superpower. She could dance endlessly! She twirled and pirouetted, her blonde hair flying behind her.
“I have a plan,” the cat said with a twinkle in his eye. “You will understand soon.”
The cat and Scarlett walked to the enchanted castle. They saw a servant carrying a basket of food. “Here are two hens, a gift from a young man who just moved to the kingdom,” the cat said to the servant.
The servant smiled and took the hens. They were delicious! Soon, the cat and Scarlett were on their way to meet Pedro.
When they found Pedro in the garden, the cat told him what he had done. “What’s the plan?” Pedro asked Scarlett. “I don’t understand.”
Scarlett didn’t understand either, but she had faith in the cat. They played in the garden, and then Pedro and Scarlett decided to go for a swim in the nearby pond. Suddenly, the cat ran towards them. “Stay here! It’s all part of the plan!” he meowed.
A royal carriage approached. The cat, being clever, ran to the king who was inside. “Someone stole the clothes of my young master and his friend,” the cat said. “They need new clothes!”
The kind king invited the cat, Scarlett, and Pedro to ride in the carriage with him. “I’ll arrange for new clothes for you!” the king promised.
Scarlett thanked the king for his kindness. She was always so elegant!
“Would you like to see the lands of my young master Pedro?” the cat asked the king. The king nodded.
The cat directed the carriage to a giant, powerful ogre’s castle. Pedro didn’t know what was happening, but he and Scarlett were excited!
The cat jumped out of the carriage. “Show the king around your lands, Pedro,” the cat said. “It’s all part of the plan.”
Pedro and Scarlett decided to play along. The cat entered the castle.
“What’s a cat doing in my castle?” the ogre roared.
The clever cat said, “I admire your magic! Could you turn me into a lion?”
The ogre, wanting to show off his powers, turned the cat into a lion! Then, the cat asked, “Could you turn me into a mouse?”
The ogre, wanting to impress the cat, turned himself into a mouse! The lion, once a cat, ate the mouse!
The castle was now Pedro’s! Pedro and Scarlett could play there whenever they wanted. They could even dance together! Scarlett’s superpower, Dancing endlessly, was perfect for playing in the castle.
The cat, who also had magical powers, turned back into a cat. He went to meet the king, Pedro, and Scarlett. “Come into the castle!” he said.
The king was amazed by the castle. He was even more impressed by Pedro and Scarlett. He said, “I’d like to introduce my daughter to you, Pedro. She is looking for a kind husband.”
Pedro and Scarlett were delighted. They were excited to meet the princess, but they wanted to tell the truth.
“The cat is the one who helped us,” they said. “He was the one who defeated the ogre.”
The king smiled. “I’m happy to meet children who are honest and kind,” he said.
From that day on, Pedro, Scarlett, the cat, and the princess played together in the enchanted forest garden. They even shared their love for ballet!
This truly is a happily ever after!
